Watch this short clip that explains the goal of a Child Advocacy Center (CAC). First, it will explore the process a child would experience without a CAC; then it will show you the usefulness and impact of the process.

What is a CAC?

1 in 10 children will report their abuse

1 of 3 girls and 1 of 5 boys will be abused

90% of the time it will be someone the child knows.

In 2025, our CAC conducted over 350 forensic interviews

Our Programs

Forensic Interviews

A forensic interview is conducted during an open investigation for law enforcement, DHS, or ICW, in a non-leading manner to reduce the number of times the child speaks about their abuse. We follow the Child First Protocol; the interview is carried out at the child's pace.

Family Advocacy

Not only does the C.A.R.T. House work in mitigation, but we aslo work in prevention. Rex the Lion helps teach the children to ROAR against child abuse. They learn about body safety and body empowerment in an interactive lesson.
